Creosote is one of the oldest living organisms on our planet. Growing abundantly in an unforgiving environment, it defines quiet resilience. Beyond its resinous leaves having a scent that captures a thousand warm summer desert monsoons past, it is highly moisturizing, a powerful natural anti-fungal, antioxidant, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory. Each small batch of this salve is handmade by Jennifer using ethical practices and nourishing ingredients. Mindfully wild harvesting creosote from the Mojave Desert, then infusing with organic California olive oil, as well as with her intentions that this medicine offer the holder of it just the right support. When it’s ready she adds local beeswax to transform it into a soft salve, easily absorbed by the skin.
